John Bolderson, Owner and President of Platinum Home Inspections, LLC, is a trusted Florida-licensed home inspector with strong ties to the community. A Lake County resident for more than a decade, John settled in Clermont with his family after growing up in South Florida. Originally from Newport, RI, his lifelong passion for the water shines through in his favorite activities—surfing, snorkeling, sailing, swimming, and offshore fishing.

Drawn to Clermont’s charm and close-knit community, John knew it was the ideal place to raise his family. His wife, Kim, works in the property title industry, and their two children—Madison, now a freshman at Florida State University, and Cole, a middle school honor student—share their parents’ dedication to hard work and integrity.

Serving Clermont, Lake County, and the greater Orlando area, John combines years of inspection expertise with meticulous attention to detail, helping homebuyers and sellers make informed, confident decisions. Founded during the COVID-19 pandemic by Florida-licensed home inspector John Bolderson, Platinum Home Inspections, LLC was built on three pillars: quality, integrity, and exceptional service.

After 11 years in Central Florida’s steel fabrication industry, John left the corporate world to pursue his dream—helping homebuyers, sellers, and real estate professionals make confident, informed decisions.

Since its start, Platinum Home Inspections has earned a strong reputation for thorough inspections and for going above and beyond for clients throughout Clermont, Lake County, and the greater Orlando area.

A 13-year Lake County resident, John was born in Newport, RI, raised in South Florida, and now calls Clermont home with his wife, Kim, and their two children, Madison and Cole. When not inspecting homes, he enjoys Florida’s coastal lifestyle—surfing, snorkeling, sailing, and offshore fishing.
